Customer Warranty: By submitting any media (including VHS, VHS-C, Hi8, MiniDV tapes, or other physical formats) to ConvertMyVHS.com, you certify that you are the lawful owner of the media, the legal copyright holder, or possess explicit authorization from the copyright holder to digitize, modify, and duplicate the content.
Prohibited Content: We do not knowingly digitize, convert, or reproduce commercially copyrighted motion pictures, television broadcasts, or materials containing illegal content. ConvertMyVHS.com reserves the right to refuse service and return any media that appears to violate copyright laws or contains unlawful material.
As-Is Condition & Tape Fragility: You acknowledge that magnetic media (analog tape) naturally degrades over time and may be brittle, damaged, or unstable prior to or during processing.
Careful Handling: While we handle every customer tape with extreme care using professional local transfer procedures, ConvertMyVHS.com is not liable for pre-existing tape decay, media snapping, heat damage, mold,or unavoidable equipment malfunction during the digitization or physical repair process.
Maximum Liability: In the rare event of accidental loss or damage to your physical media directly caused by our equipment or negligence, our total financial liability is strictly limited to the replacement cost of a blank physical tape of equal format or a full refund of the specific service fee paid for that tape.
Temporary Local Storage: To allow customers time to verify their order, converted digital files (MP4 format) are retained on our local secure storage for 30 days following order completion and delivery. After 30 days, files may be permanently deleted unless the customer has subscribed to an Annual Cloud Backup Plan.
Customer Responsibility: Customers are strongly encouraged to inspect their digital files upon receipt and create secondary backups on personal storage devices.
All prices listed on ConvertMyVHS.com (including base transfers, video/audio enhancement, tape repairs, and USB deliverables) are subject to change without prior notice.
Payment for all completed services, add-ons, and physical deliverables is due in full upon or prior to order pickup/delivery.
Local Processing: We respect your privacy. Your family videos, audio recordings, and personal information will never be sold, published, or shared with third parties or video-sharing platforms without your express written consent.
